I got a call from Alex saying that he had to build a performance system that would not only rock my cock off but would win the “CPU Magazine’s Dream PC Round up!” He was under the gun as OCZ has recently purchased Hypersonic, the first builder fell thru so they asked GUru to do the deed, ooh yea they also said if he didn’t win he might not have a job (hows that for under the gun?). So were on the phone talking computers, like we used to do back in my hypersonic days, although with way less caffeine, cigarettes and mold. (hypersonic was born in a basement out in Long Island) So alex and i throw some ideas, he is gonna use skulltrail, im kinda against it, but hell its his job, and he has access to way way more hardware they we ever did at hypersonic. Basically were just shootin the shit. After the phone call I hope he doesn’t lose his job, and I forget about it in a day or 2.

When I get a text message last night saying that they won. I was fucking stoked. That’s no easy task, read the lineup you tell me if you could put that shit together and guarantee victory? My man Alex is a pimp, you know it I know it. I’m just glad to see him with a nicer car, a better place (aka out of the basement) and doing shit that kicks ass.

Considering the competition, the folks at Hypersonic deserve the win for the Sonic Boom ATS on its performance alone. That Hypersonic managed to place in the top three in a majority of the benchmarks using the same hardware as everybody else makes the feat even more impressive. It’s official: The Sonic Boom ATS sets the bar for luxury PCs.

We worked some long ass hours under a tight as balls deadline. It was awesome going over some specs, options, getting some of Sp1te’s expertise on a build. Luckily, we didn’t go Skulltrail!

Penny_wise deserves all the credit for getting all this shit together with copious amounts of Caffeine and sleepless nights.

Thanks for the kind words…it is great to be out of the basement!
